The City of Antwerp is proud of the many events that take place there, from a philharmonic orchestra on the Scheldt to the famous Antwerp 10 Miles, Antwerp Pride or Winter in Antwerp. On Sunday 23 April, Antwerp will again be overrun by tens of thousands of runners for the 37th edition of the city's famous 10 Miles event. This marathon event has now become the largest in the country with more than 3,000 participants, while the 10 Miles will once again welcome more than 30,000 runners to the starting line. A throng of people, with even more enthusiastic supporters at the side of the road.

Different locations
This annual high mass of the LGBTQIA+ community which takes place in August consistently attracts tens of thousands of participants from dozens of countries. For five days, Antwerp Pride will bring bursts of colour to the city with a variety of celebrations, sporting events, exhibitions and cultural activities.
30 years of Laus Polyphoniae: Antwerp. Townscape – Soundscape

AMUZ and other locations
Laus Polyphoniae is a ten-day event for early music lovers to look forward to. For 30 years, the AMUZ summer festival has been committed to the re-evaluation and international exposure of Flemish polyphony – multi-part music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance and part of our world heritage. This year's event will introduce you to the music that resounded in Antwerp's churches and city palaces in the 15th and 16th centuries.
The Giants
25 until 27 August 2023
This summer, the City of Antwerp can look forward to yet another visit from the internationally renowned Royal de Luxe, who will bring some giants to life on the last weekend of August at a free event for young and old. The city has had a unique partnership with Royal de Luxe for more than 20 years and has welcomed several shows by this company to Antwerp in the past. In 1998, for example, the city hosted the Little Giant and His Friends. In 2006, the Elephant and the Little Giant wandered through the city, in 2010 a huge Diver emerged from the Kattendijk dock and in 2015, Grandma Giant and the Little Giant came together at the MAS. Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

This autumn, gymnastics fans from all over the world will gather at Antwerp's Sportpaleis for the biggest gymnastics competition of the year, the World Gymnastics Championships. The world's best gymnasts will compete against each other during 9 exciting days of competition. At this Olympic selection event, some 500 gymnasts from more than 80 countries within the discipline of apparatus gymnastics not only compete for world titles, but also for the final tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which will be handed out in Antwerp.
Winter in Antwerp
December 2023 - January 2024
Visit Antwerp during the end-of-year period and the city will welcome you to what feels like a fairy-tale setting. Come and skate on the ice rink, take a spin on the Ferris wheel, shop for the ultimate Christmas gift, have a drink in one of the winter bars or enjoy the winter atmosphere in the city with friends and family.
